The year was 1997. Eric, Doug and I teased each other relentlessly, as most brothers will do, about a lot of things, one of them was being fat. I would call my brothers, "chubs" or "fatty." One day one of us decided to actually determine who was the fattest so we bought a Fat Percentage tester at Sharper Image.
Around the same time we were also watching and enjoying the movie "Searching for Bobby Fisher". My brother Eric is an electrical engineer and he made a chess clock, so we used that to play speed chess.
We also played golf since we were getting old and unable to continue playing baseball and basketball like we did when we were young.
All three of these simultaneous trends in our life just naturally combined for a competition--The Busta Cup.
